Growth is an extreme sport

Trust the process is one of the cliche phrases in the online space.

And as my husband Mermu, and I have analyzed,

cliches are cliches because they are true.

In fact, they are so true that they happen repeatedly enough to be cliche.

Trust the process is one of them.

And usually, a reminder is needed because when you’re in process, nothing makes sense.

When you’re showing up and doing the right things but you’re not seeing results,

knowing that like the Chinese bamboo,

sometimes it takes up to 5 years to develop the roots that will allow you shoot 80 feet in 6 weeks is important.

In this episode of the podcast, I talk more on trusting the process.

You see, to become the woman you are on your way to becoming,

there needs to be growth.

And as much as we want to euphemize it,

growth is actually painful.

Self awareness is painful.

Calling yourself out is painful.

Maintaining self discipline is painful.

Growth is an extreme sport that will test you and leave you sore,

But on the other side of it is a freedom that will make you certain

that you want more.

Welcome to my space. And cheers to the woman you’re becoming!
